Summer Strummin' with Joe Collins

The Nacoochee Strummers and Yonah Pickers Satellite groups, in cooperation with the Friends of Unicoi, are sponsoring workshops and concerts with Joe Collins at Unicoi Lodge near Helen.  All NGFDA members are invited, but sign up early – space is limited!

Workshops start at 9 AM on Friday July 16, and include ”Capos & Alternate Tunings”, “Crossing Over to the Fun Side”, “Funny Songs on the Dulcimer”, “Getting Jiggy”, “Hot Licks and Cool Sounds”, “Patterns and Rhythms”, “Playing Well with Others”, and “Introduction to Celtic Songs.”  Check out www.jcdulcimer.com for more information.

There’ll be four different workshops EACH DAY.  The first is $15, second is an additional $10, the third is $5 more, and THE FOURTH IS FREE!   Come on just Friday, just Saturday, or both.

PLUS there’ll be FREE concerts!  Friday evening features Joe Collins, with opening by Nathaniel Samsel.   Saturday night we’ll have another FREE concert with local artists.
